This is the plain English version. Get Off The Tools ("we", "us", "our") builds websites, AI and lead systems for electricians. We take your privacy seriously and we only collect what we need to do the job and stay in touch. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
Get Off The Tools is a trading name operated by a UK based business. For any privacy question, email hello@getoffthetools.ai and a real person will answer.
What we collect
- Details you give us. Your name, business name, email, phone number and the answers you type into our contact form or send us by email.
- Usage data. Basic, anonymous information about how the site is used, such as pages viewed and rough location, gathered through standard web analytics.
- Cookies. A small number of cookies that keep the site working and help us understand traffic. You can block these in your browser at any time.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and talk to you about getting you set up.
- To deliver and support the services you sign up for.
- To send you useful tips and updates, only if you asked for them. You can unsubscribe whenever you like.
- To keep the website running well and secure.
The legal bit
Under UK GDPR we process your data on the basis of your consent (when you contact us or opt in), to perform a contract (when you become a client), and for our legitimate interests in running and improving the business. We never sell your data. Ever.
Who we share it with
We use trusted third party tools to run the business, for example for hosting, email, forms and customer management. They only ever see what they need to provide their service, and they are bound to protect it. We do not pass your details to anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we are working together, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back or for our legal and accounting duties. After that we delete it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold on you, correct it, or have it deleted. You can withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time. Just email hello@getoffthetools.ai and we will sort it. If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. The latest version always lives on this page.
